Example Scholarship essays

These notes are written to help a pupil pass the Common Entrance to Senior Schools at age 13  in Science

The syllabus roughly follows the United Kingdom Key Stage 3 requirements up to level 6 but the notes here are suitable for students aged 11 to 14

About half the marks for each paper is based on one word answer (often multiple choice) questions and the rest on questions that require a better understanding

Scholarship
The Scholarship follows the same syllabus although questions require a much better understanding of the subject.
The questions need to be answered in far more depth with clear 
A scholarship candidate would need to have studied work outside the requirements of the syllabus.
