How to use this
site Revision
Worried about exams?
These notes are to help pupils (and their parents) with revision for the Common Entrance Examination ( or Key Stage 3 SAT's) and also provide a useful resource for homework
This site contains many internet links. These are included for further research or general interest.
How to use this
site
The main links are always visible on at the top of the screen
Contents Physics Chemistry Biology Vocabulary Search
Links on this site are always in blue and turn red when the cursor is over them eg link
Each of these links opens a sub-menu on the left.
Each sub menu opens a topic on the main part of the screen
There may be a further menu on the main screen
Looking up a topic
There are several ways to find a topic
Example: looking up a topic like 'Lamps in parallel'
1. Work down through the menus till you find what you want:
Click on ' Physics' (near the top of the screen)
then ' Circuits' (at the menu on the left)
then 'lamps in parallel' (found on the main screen near the top)
2. Use the 'Search' box
This works best if you are using one word so you need to
pick a 'key' word
In this case you would look up 'lamps' or 'Parallel'
The search engine finds every place each word occurs so avoid using words like 'in'
3. Use 'Vocabulary' to look up a single word or term
In this case you would look up 'Lamps''
REVISION

Other tips
The time of exams can be very stressful and difficult.
Some people find exam time so bad they become ill, because they are afraid of
failing or of letting their parents and family down.
Sometimes the hard work of study and revising damages their health.
If you are worried then TALK to someone.
Maybe someone in the family, a friend, a teacher at school, maybe your doctor
or priest.
If one person does not listen try someone else
If you are really worried then phone Childline or some other similar organization
